IndyGo Awards $400K in Grants

The organizations will use the more than $400,000 in grants for vehicles serving older citizens or those with disabilities.
As a designated recipient of the Federal Transit Administration’s Section 5310 funds, IndyGo is responsible for distributing capital funds to programs that are eligible and service providers in the Indianapolis area. Organizations eligible for the funding include private, not-for-profit organizations and authorized units of local government seeking assistance purchasing vehicles for their transportation programs.
A 20% local match provided by the awarded recipient is required as well. The IndyGo 2016 grant recipients for Federal Section 5310 projects include:
- TANGRAM – $64,000
- CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions, Inc. – $83,200
- Noble, Inc. – $140,800
- ACCESS Johnson County – $80,000
- Janus Developmental Services – $41,600
