Managed Health Services has promoted Jo Nahod-Carlin to vice president customer experience. She previously served as senior director of marketing and communications. In her new role, Nahod-Carlin will work to define and manage the MHS statewide teams and activities related to marketing, communications, community and member outreach, among other responsibilities. She received her Bachelor of Science in journalism and political science from Ball State University. She is a board member for Project Home Indy and vice chair of women’s cabinet for the LUNGFORCE campaign with the American Lung Association. MHS has also hired Matthew Watson as director of risk adjustment and quality rating systems operations. He previously worked with various health organizations including DST Health Solutions, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and CareSource. Watson has also served in the United States Marine Corps and the Kentucky Army National Guard. He received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and his associate’s degree from College of DuPage.
