Carmel-Connected Whiskey Brand Scores Millions

Subscribe NowA whiskey company run by a well-known Carmel-based entrepreneur has secured a $7.5 million round of funding to boost distribution. Beach Whiskey LLC Chief Executive Officer Smoke Wallin says the oversubscribed investment round will help "get liquid to lips" in California, Florida and Hawaii. He says Beach Whiskey distribution will then spread out to additional select markets from there. The company was launched in 2015 and is headquartered in Los Angeles.
Wallin says "this funding will allow us to properly launch Beach Whiskey with our distributors and on-premise national account partners. Our group of world class investors, board and advisory board members is a testament to Beach Whiskey’s unique take on the rapidly growing whiskey market."
Wallin is joined on the company’s board by co-founder and media personality Billy Bush, TNT and TBS President Kevin Reilly and Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner, among others.

Wallin is also CEO of Carmel-based Taliera, which is an incubation and growth firm that has been involved with several brands including Sugar Skull Rum, Paddington Brands, Pelican Brands, Wine 2.0, Napa Smith Brewery and Liquor Lab – Stillhouse Original Moonshine. He’s also former co-chairman and founder of the Wine Industry Technology Symposium and former chair, CEO and founder of eSkye Solutions in Indianapolis, an alcohol industry account pricing software company.
