The Carroll County Economic Development Corp. has unveiled a report on what the organization says are thriving sectors in the county of 20,000 residents. "Close Up: Keeping Our Eye on the Economy" details industry, agriculture, tourism and redevelopment figures.
Executive Director Laura Wells says "combined, the capital investments and growth signal unparalleled robustness."
The report provides a snapshot of projects including a $41 million expansion of Indiana Packers Corp., $4.25 million Delphi Opera House restoration, the Canal Commons downtown housing development and a solar park in Flora. The first building at the 60-acre Hoosier Heartland Industrial Park also opened recently.

This year is also a celebratory year, with Indiana Bicentennial events scheduled throughout Carroll County. We have a history to be proud of, and we’re creating a future that is generating a warm welcome to newcomers."
The report also details some of the county’s largest employers including Indiana Packers, Tri-Green Tractor and The Andersons Inc.
