Cummins Showcases Global Sustainability Efforts

The global manufacturer says highlights include exceeding its water use reduction goal five years ahead of schedule and meeting its 2015 target for energy and greenhouse gas reduction.
Chief Executive Officer Tom Linebarger says "if we do our job right, our company can help build stronger communities, extend economic opportunity to more people and help address the environmental challenges facing the world today."
The report covers statistics ranging from the waste stream to supplier diversity to employee and contractor community engagement activities.
The nearly 100-year-old company, which was 154th in 2015 on the Fortune 500 rankings, also outlined its footprint. At the end of last year, the company employed an estimated 55,200 throughout the world, more than half of which outside the U.S. Its annual revenues totaled $19.1 billion and reported a network of customers in 190 countries.
