Officials with the $350 million research center have named a chief financial officer and a director of external affairs and communications.
Mark Anderson will serve as chief financial officer and vice president of administration. He most recently served as vice president of finance for Georgia-based biomedical company MiMedx. His career also includes various financial leadership roles at Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY). He has also held accounting positions with KPMG and Deloitte. Anderson holds degrees from Southern Utah University and the University of Michigan.
Christy Denault has been named director of external affairs and communications. She has previously served as director of communications for both the governor and lieutenant governor of the state of Indiana. She has also worked for the Purdue University College of Agriculture. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Iowa and her Master’s degree in international conflict analysis from the University of Kent in Canterbury.
In a release, IBRI Chief Executive Officer David Broecker said "The addition of these two staff members continues to build a top-notch executive team ready to lead the IBRI as we establish research operations and continue to recruit world class talent."
