LIDS Foundation Names Grant Recipients
The LIDS Foundation in Zionsville has selected this year’s recipients of "Tip the Hat Award" grants. Five nonprofit organizations have received funding, totaling $300,000.
The "Tip the Hat Award" is the foundation’s largest annual grant, which is given to nonprofits that promote active and healthy lifestyles, along with leadership and growth opportunities. Five finalists were selected for the grants and an online fan vote determined how much each organization would receive.
This year’s recipients include:
- A Kid Again – Columbus, Ohio – $125,000
- Little Wish Foundation – Indianapolis – $75,000
- Nine13sports – Indianapolis – $50,000
- Our Military Kids – McLean, Virginia – $25,000
- The BASE – Roxbury, Massachusetts – $25,000
"Both the LIDS Foundation and the LIDS Sports Group recognize the importance of uplifting and rewarding those who are shaping today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders," said Glenn Campbell, LIDS co-founder and LIDS Foundation board member. "This year’s recipients are a wonderful representation of varying causes that are undoubtedly impacting the lives and futures of children throughout the country."
