The entrepreneurship program uses old-fashioned lemonade stands to help teach children the fundamentals of starting and owning a business as well as giving back to community. It was launched in Indiana by serial entrepreneur and ChaCha Founder and CEO Scott Jones and has a goal of connecting with 15,000 participants through this year’s event, which is scheduled for May 21.
Last month, Lemonade Day Greater Indianapolis Director Jami Marsh and Launch Fishers Founder John Wechsler talked about the program and this year’s event on Inside INdiana Business Television.
At Thursday’s evening’s Game Show Night, supporters of young Hoosier entrepreneurs looked on as The Lemony Crickets edged The Pucker Doodles in a loose remake of the iconic game show Family Feud.
Award-winning comedian and financial planner Peter Dunn (aka Pete the Planner) and his daughter Ollie stole the show as co-hosts for the evening.
Participants in the ‘Feud’ included The Lemony Crickets Family of Inside Indiana Business Creator and Host Gerry Dick, Just Pop In Owner Mandy Selke, IndyStar Adventuress Leslie Bailey and DeveloperTown Partner Mike Kelly.
The Pucker Doodles Family included WTHR Meteorologist Nicole Misencik, Just Pop In Owner Carly Swift, Edwin the Duck Co-founder Matt MacBeth and Sun King Brewing Co. Owner Clay Robinson.
