GIPC Taps Former Marion County Clerk
The Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee has selected a former Marion County Clerk to serve as its new executive director. Beth White will begin in her new role April 4.
White served two terms as Marion County Clerk and has also served as director of constituent services, public access counselor and deputy corporation counsel for former Mayor Bart Peterson’s administration. She currently serves on the Indianapolis Public Schools Educational Foundation Board.
"The GIPC executive committee is so pleased that Beth White is coming on board to lead our organization," said GIPC Board Chair Jeff Gaither. "Her breadth and depth of experience in government and the community make her uniquely qualified to guide our important initiatives."
The GIPC Board recently elected Gaither as board chair, along with vice-chairs Ellen Annala, Mel Raines and Yvonne Shaheen. The board also elected Bill Shrewsberry as secretary and Michael Gargano as treasurer.
The GIPC is a nonprofit organization that seeks to bring public and private sector leaders together areas of concern and opportunity which affect the progress of the city of Indianapolis.
