Schpok Leaving State Job For Tech Company

Indiana Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Executive Director Jacob Schpok has been named vice president of operations at Indianapolis-based Fathom Voice. Schpok will play a major role in the cloud-based contact center software provider’s growth plans.
The company is working to expand its San Francisco office and quadruple its current 25-member team this year.
Fathom Voice Chief Executive Officer Cameron Weeks says "Jacob is coming to Fathom Voice during rapid expansion. We’re confident his experience and leadership will provide tremendous value in growing our team while staying focused on our mission."
Schpok is an economic development veteran, who has also co-founded two companies. His role with the state include a four-year stint as state director of the Indiana Small Business Development Center.
The company says traditional contact center systems are being replaced by the kind of cloud-based technology it provides to the rapidly-changing industry. He says these changes are "the primary driver" Fathom Voice’s expansion.
