Health System Lands Location For $48M Facility
Danville-based Hendricks Regional Health has secured a location for its planned emergency room and outpatient center in Brownsburg. The $48 million project is expected to result in more than 110 jobs.
The health system purchased vacant farmland near Interstate 74 and Ronald Reagan Parkway to build the 100,000 square-foot retail health care center. The facility is expected to open in fourth quarter 2017.
Hendricks Regional Health says the facility will address the growing medical needs of northern Hendricks County and beyond. It will include an emergency room and immediate care center, laboratory and radiology services, a comprehensive women’s center, physical rehabilitation, physician offices, a retail pharmacy, specialty clinic and additional retail space.
"For the past couple of years, we have been working on identifying a location and a way to bring an enhanced variety of services closer to the north side of Brownsburg," said Gary Everling, vice president and chief strategy officer. "We want our new center to be easy to access and easy to do business with. This new facility will allow us to deliver care in a new way, with easy access to several different services under one roof."
The health system says its existing medical office building in Brownsburg will remain open to service the south side of the city and the northwest side of Avon. An additional immediate care center will be opening in early May as well.
