Elkhart-based Agdia Inc. owners Baziel and Albert Vrient were nominated by the Business Development Corp. of South Bend. Ceremonies to announce the national winner will be May 1-2 in Washington D.C. and will kick off this year’s National Small Business Week. A local ceremony will be May 4 at the Indianapolis International Airport.
SBA Indiana District Director Stacey Poynter says "I’m looking forward to celebrating these outstanding Indiana entrepreneurs. Indiana’s small businesses are the economic engine that creates more than half of all private sector jobs here. They are crucial to the economic development in our state and the success of our communities."
Agdia was launched in 1981 and provides plant pathogen diagnostics.
