Seminar to Aid Transition For Veterans

Northeast Indiana Works is hosting a five-day seminar next month to help military veterans transition into the civilian work force. Operation: Job Ready Veterans will conduct the seminar March 7-11 at the WorkOne Northeast career center in Grant County.

Attendees will cover a variety of topics, including identifying career interests, translating skills, developing successful strategies for navigating the job market, interview preparation, resume preparation and networking. The seminar will end with a graduation ceremony and hiring fair.

The sessions are free and open to eligible spouses of veterans, members of the Indiana National Guard or Reserve, spouses of Guard or Reserve members and military caregivers. The sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day during the week.

Participating veterans must have received a discharge other than dishonorable to be eligible for the seminar. The deadline to register is March 2.
