Developer to Take on $60M Project in Brownsburg
Indianapolis-based Scannell Properties has been selected as developer of the $60 million Brownsburg Town Center. The property will feature 220 apartments, plus retail, parking and outdoor space.
Construction could begin once a major round of road infrastructure work is complete sometime next year.
The center has received tax increment financing and zoning approvals and is awaiting clearance from the town’s redevelopment commission. It’s an effort involving the town, Scannell, Colliers and land-owner Bolt Redevelopment of Brownsburg.
Brownsburg Town Center fits into one of the town’s top priorities: a thriving downtown district. David Ravensberg, a Scannell Partner in charge of residential and mixed-use development says "we’re thrilled about the opportunity to work alongside Bolt Redevelopment and the Town of Brownsburg to deliver what will be the gathering spot for current and future Brownsburg residents for generations to come"
In addition to the apartments, it will include more than 15,000 square-feet for retailers and a 350-space parking garage. It’s located across from the future Brownsburg Recreation Center and will connect to sidewalks being upgraded for increased biking and walking.
