Loogootee Company Lands Military Contract
A Loogootee-based company has been awarded a major contract from the U.S. Department of Defense. J&R Tool Inc. will receive $7.2 million over five years to produce storage and shipping containers.
The containers will be used to ship and store target sight systems used on the Marine Corps attack helicopter and multi-spectral targeting systems. The work is expected to be completed by February 2021.
The DOD says all of the work will be performed in Loogootee. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane is the contracting activity.
