Entrepreneurship Summit to Focus on Med-Tech

Subscribe NowWabash College expects more than 300 entrepreneurs and students from 18 colleges throughout the state to take part in its fifth Entrepreneurship Summit. Dean for Professional Development Alan Hill says the focus of the February 6th event will be the growing the state’s medical technology industry. During an interview on Inside INdiana Business Television, Hill was joined by President Greg Hess, who said it’s important to connect education to "ultimately successful stepping stones" in the business world.
The Entrepreneurship summit is Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wabash College Fine Arts Center. Featured speakers at the event include Indiana Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann and Cook Medical Group Chairman Steve Ferguson. The afternoon’s keynote speaker is former Covidien executive Stacy Seng.
The school says the summit will also highlight resources available to entrepreneurs at Wabash College, Crawfordsville and central Indiana. Hill says the Center for Innovation, Business & Entrepreneurship allows students from all majors to prepare to be innovative leaders throughout their lives, calling it "simply the Wabash way of doing business."
