Economic Development Announcement Set For Carmel

The city was named the 2015 Community of the Year by the Indiana Chamber, in part, on its economic development strength. In 2014, the city announced nine new or expanding companies that pledged nearly 1,400 jobs. Carmel is home to more than 75 national headquarters. Brainard, who won re-election in November and has begun his sixth term. He says the city’s mission during his tenure has been to "reinvent what it means to live in a suburb."
