Putnam has served as Community Health Network’s chief clinical quality officer for over two years. She joined Community in 2011 as its vice president for quality resources and risk management.
"Jean is a tireless supporter of nurses as employees and the largest segment of our team," said Dr. Tim Hobbs, M.D., MBA, chief physician executive for Community Health Network. "But just as important, she’s an advocate for nurses as talented professionals whose knowledge and creativity are essential to our success and to our patients’ experiences and outcomes. As we considered our vision of the network chief nursing officer for the future, we found Jean’s background to be ideal."
Putnam says the role of chief nursing officer has evolved to not only oversee the nursing work force but also giving nursing professionals a voice in care transformation and quality improvement.
"We are particularly focused on team-based care where all clinical services are partners in delivering exceptional care," says Putnam. "It has been rewarding for me to carry that responsibility in an interim capacity over the past several months and I am thrilled to know it is my responsibility going forward here at Community Health Network."
