Indiana State University's president is looking to develop a new strategic plan for the school and increase enrollment and graduation rates. Dan Bradley is setting goals of 14,000 students and a 30 percent four-year graduation rate by 2017.

The new strategic plan will replace one implemented in 2009. Bradley says 40 percent of faculty and more than 50 percent of senior administrators are new since that plan was established. He says the new plan will be put together by a 20-member steering committee with representatives from the university, government, nonprofits and local business. The committee will hold town hall meetings in January and February, with a goal of completing the plan in the fall of 2016.

Bradley says the school has seen recent enrollment momentum. ISU reported record fall enrollment of 13,584, marking a 30 percent increase since 2008. The school is also boasting increases in African-American students and enrollment in online classes.

ISU says its four-year graduation rate currently sits at 23.4 percent. Its six-year graduation rate is nearly 40 percent.
