News Release

WEST LAFAYATTE, Ind. – The Purdue Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter will host a think tank with Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Ted McKinney during this year’s Purdue Ag Week. The think tank focuses on the week’s theme, “mAGnify: A Closer Look at Agriculture.”

“We are excited to have students, farmers and other agricultural stakeholders pick the brain of ISDA Director Ted McKinney in order to learn more about Indiana agriculture and current agricultural issues,” said Travis Olinske, Collegiate Farm Bureau president and a junior in agricultural education.

The Collegiate Farm Bureau-sponsored think tank session will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Pfendler Hall located on Purdue University’s campus. The event is open to the public.

Collegiate Farm Bureau is one of more than 20 student organizations hosting events during Purdue Ag Week this year. In addition to the think tank session, McKinney will speak to several Purdue University classes throughout the day and attend an Oxfam Hunger Banquet that is designed to encourage attendees to be more aware of global hunger.
