Two hiring events are set for later this month in central and east central Indiana. The “Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran” Job Fair at the Indiana State Fairgrounds will feature around 200 employers and the Sugar Creek Packing Co. facility in Wayne County is adding workers ahead of its expected opening in July. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) today encouraged Hoosier veterans to attend the ninth annual “Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran” Job Fair on Wednesday, April 15 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Nearly 200 employers will be in attendance and looking to hire qualified applicants. Last year’s event resulted in at least one job offer for 25 percent of participants.

“Hoosier veterans bring a unique set of skills, leadership capabilities and experience to the table,” said Coats. “I encourage all interested Hoosier veterans to attend this event that will connect them to nearly 200 employers.”

All service members, veterans, spouses and family members are welcome to attend “Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran” Job Fair. Attendees are asked to pre-register for this free event at http://ohhv.org.
