RENSSELAER, Ind. – The Jasper County Economic Development Organization (JCEDO) announces the hiring of Sheila White as Director of Tourism & Community Relations. Sheila has been employed at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer for the past sixteen years and currently serves as Director of Community Relations & Development. Previously, she worked in a member services role at the Jasper County REMC electric utility. Sheila holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and enjoys biking, music and traveling.
Sheila joins JCEDO on April 10 and will primarily be responsible for directing Jasper County’s efforts to promote tourism, lodging, attractions, entertainment, festivals and events. In addition, she’ll be actively engaged in strengthening JCEDO’s community and small business relations initiatives. According to Sheila, “as a lifelong resident of Jasper County, I'm excited to be part of an organization which seeks new possibilities, as well as strives for growth of existing opportunities, for its residents. This position provides a great opportunity to promote tourism as a driver of economic growth for Jasper County.”
