An Indiana House committee has passed a bill that would eliminate the admission tax at the state's casinos. The bill approved by the Ways and Means Committee today would also allow racinos to use live dealers and riverboat casinos to move on-shore. Under the proposal, the admission would be replaced by a revenue tax agreed upon by the casinos that the their communities.

The bill is designed to help the state's struggling gaming industry become more competitive. It was approved earlier this month by the House Public Policy Committee.
