The Indiana Manufacturers Association has named executive committee leaders and board of directors members for 2015. They include Chairman of the Board Jim Tuerk, who is chief executive officer and chairman Indianapolis-based Aero Industries Inc. February 3, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA) recently elected the organization's 2015 Executive Committee, announcing Jim Tuerk as its 2015 Chairman of the Board.

Formed in 1901, the Indiana Manufacturers Association is the second oldest manufacturers association in the country and the only trade association in Indiana that exclusively focuses on manufacturing. The Indiana Manufacturers Association, representing more than 1,400 companies, is dedicated to advocating for a business climate that creates, protects and promotes quality manufacturing jobs in Indiana.

Jim Tuerk is CEO and Chairman of Aero Industries, Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana. After receiving his B.A. in business from Michigan State University, Jim entered the family business of manufacturing and distribution of equipment for the heavy-duty trucking industry. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Jim is involved in various for-profit and non-profit organizations. Jim has served on boards of several privately held companies in Central Indiana.

In addition to business interests, Jim is involved in the community as a member of the Region 5 Works Council and a long-time board member of the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center. Jim is a member of the World Presidents Association, The Alliance, the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association, National Trailer Dealers Association and the National Truck Equipment Association. Aero has been a member of the Indiana Manufacturers Association since 1957, and Jim joined the Board of Directors in 2006.
