News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — Today, at noon, the Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition will present the 2015 Stakeholder Awards at their 12th Annual Legislative luncheon at the Indiana Statehouse, North Atrium.

During this annual event, elected officials and invited guests will be treated to lunch and the opportunity to network with Hoosier fleet operators and industry leaders who have partnered to deploy American fuels and technologies, across Indiana. Special recognition will be given to those Hoosier fleets and partners who have made significant deployment advancements in 2014.

Kellie Walsh, Executive Director of Greater Indiana Clean Cities stated, “I couldn't be more excited about this year's award recipients and the many ways in which they've advanced the deployment of American alternative fuels and technologies.” Walsh continued “Many of these fuels and technologies are not only reducing the nation's dependence on foreign oil but are providing Hoosier jobs and economic benefit to our great state.”

In 2014, public and private sector fleets across Indiana reduced their petroleum consumption by 15,000,000+ gallons. This reduction has saved millions of dollars in fueling and maintenance costs for fleets. This year's recipients are being recognized for their efforts to reduce their fleet’s foreign oil consumption, which has reduced operating costs as well as greenhouse gas causing emissions.
