News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — Nine hotels and one restaurant in AAA Hoosier Motor Club territory are being recognized as AAA Four Diamond honorees, according to AAA Hoosier Motor Club, which provides AAA services to members in 50 of Indiana's 92 counties.

While the majority of those facilities honored by AAA are repeat winners, one hotel–The Alexander in downtown Indianapolis, is a first-time addition to the annual list.

The AAA/CAA Four and Five Diamond Ratings are AAA's highest designations for hotels and restaurants.

Hotels rated Four or Five Diamond are stylish and refined with upscale physical attributes. Guests receive personalized attention from an experienced staff enhancing an extensive array of amenities in a luxurious setting.

AAA Hoosier Motor Club-territory Four-Diamond hotel honorees include…

–French Lick Springs Hotel – (French Lick)

–Conrad Indianapolis – (Indianapolis)

–Hyatt Regency Indianapolis – (Indianapolis)

–Omni Severin Hotel – (Indianapolis)

–The Alexander – A Dolce Hotel – (Indianapolis)

–The Villa Inn, Restaurant and Spa – (Indianapolis)

–The Westin Indianapolis – (Indianapolis)

Restaurants at the Four or Five Diamond level offer a distinctive fine dining experience. Creative chefs, imaginative menus, fresh top-quality ingredients and expert staff distinguish these establishments.

AAA Hoosier Motor Club's Four-Diamond restaurant winner is…

–Restaurant Tallent (Bloomington)

Establishments at the Four and Five Diamond rating levels make up just 3.8 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, of the more than 58,000 AAA/CAA Approved hotels and restaurants. Across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, these select properties represent the upper echelon of the hospitality industry.

“Four and Five Diamond hotels and restaurants provide guests with a personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high quality surroundings,” said Greg Seiter, public affairs manager with AAA Hoosier Motor Club. “These establishments consistently exceed the expectations of the most discriminating traveler – the AAA inspector. We are proud to have these dedicated businesses in our region.”

AAA inspectors visit more than 58,000 hotels and restaurants over the course of a given year, allowing them to identify emerging trends in the industry. Inspectors have observed hotels increasingly using technology to complement the white glove service guests expect at the ultra-luxury level, allowing options such as mobile check-in and touch-screen access to concierge services. Similarly, at restaurants they have observed the emergence of tablet-based digital menus, with electronic ordering and tableside payment features.
