Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) will mark a new production line Thursday when it unveils a full-sized Nissan truck powered by a Cummins engine. The global manufacturer says production on the 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel will begin later this year and create jobs at the Columbus Engine Plant. January 13, 2015

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Cummins unveils the 2016 Nissan Titan XD full-size pickup powered by its Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel. Production of the V8 opens a new market for Cummins, creates jobs and brings engine production back the Columbus Engine Plant.

DETAILS: On January 12, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD full-size pickup powered by a Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel made its much-anticipated debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.

Full production of the V8 engine begins this year, which brings engine production back to Cummins' first engine plant and creates jobs. The Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel opens a new market for Cummins and expands its brand presence through the development of a technologically innovative engine that delivers exceptional performance, quality and fuel-efficiency.
