Anderson Purdue Project Clears HurdlePosted: Updated:
Plans for a Purdue University College of Technology location in Anderson are moving forward. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report Hy-Tech Machining Systems will not fight eminent domain proceedings by Anderson to acquire a former Delco Remy operation. In November, an Anderson city commission voted to commit more than $11 million to the project. The plan involves the structure being demolished to make way for the center, thousands of square feet of manufacturing space and the Flagship Maker Space.
Operations at the new facility could begin in 2016.
