MUNCIE, Ind. – Gov. Mike Pence has reappointed Ball State alumni Rick Hall and R. Wayne Estopinal to four-year terms on the university's Board of Trustees. Their new terms are effective through Dec. 31, 2018.
“I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from Rick's and Wayne's deep dedication to this university,” said President Paul W. Ferguson. “Their experience and wisdom will be invaluable as we refine our strategic directions and push toward even greater successes in the coming years.”
Hall was elected chair of the Board of Trustees in January 2014. He joined the board in 2007 and served as secretary from 2011 until his election as chair. He previously served as assistant secretary.
Hall is a partner and member of the management committee at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, which is one of the 100 largest law firms in the country. He represents public and private entities in the areas of governmental services and finance.
He earned his bachelor's degree at Ball State in 1989, where he earned four letters playing basketball and was the Cardinals captain in his senior year. He earned his law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law. Hall also serves his alma mater as a member of the Ball State University Foundation Board. He lives in Carmel.

I look forward to enhancing even more the Ball State tradition of providing our students a high quality education, while controlling the costs of that education through entrepreneurial management.”
Estopinal has been a member of Ball State's Board of Trustees since 2011. He is president of The Estopinal Group, an architectural firm based in Jeffersonville, which specializes in architectural and interior design services to national clients in health care, education, and municipal planning and facilities. Other business interests include ownership of the Orlando City Soccer Club and Louisville City Soccer Club.
He earned two bachelor's degrees from Ball State in 1979, one in architecture and one in environmental design.
Estopinal serves on the boards of directors for Your Community Bank and Community BankShares of Indiana. Not-for-profit board services includes the Louisville Zoo Foundation board and Boy Scouts of America Executive Council-Louisville.
He is a current member and past president of the Ball State University Alumni Council and previously served on the Ball State University Foundation Board of Directors. He lives in Jeffersonville.

The nine trustees are appointed by the governor. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the fiduciary oversight of Ball State University. Its primary duties are to set the educational agenda for the university, confer degrees and oversee fiscal matters such as the university budget and tuition and fee policies.
