Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Ted McKinney says a major event next month will help the state “ratchet up the business of agriculture.” The Governor's Agriculture Conference in Indianapolis is attracting big industry names, including Greenfield-based Elanco President Jeff Simmons and Dow AgroSciences President Tim Hassinger. McKinney says the event will focus on how to capitalize on growing global demand for food with Indiana's “complete package” in agriculture. The Governor's Agriculture Conference is set for January 16 at the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown. The theme is “Indiana Agriculture” Staged For Global Success.”

Other speakers at the event include Governor Mike Pence, Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann, World Wildlife Fund Senior Vice President Jason Clay and Cargill Inc. Executive Chairman of The Board Greg Page.
