Fort Wayne, Ind. — From December 12-14, Fort Wayne Youth Hockey Inc. will host the 2014 International Silver Stick Hockey Regionals at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
An estimated 600 youth hockey players and coaches will compete in Fort Wayne this weekend, including 27 teams representing Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania. The six divisional winners (Bantam A, Bantam B, Pee Wee A, Pee Wee B, Squirt A, Squirt B) will move on to the International Silver Stick Hockey Finals in January.
Tournament action begins on Friday, December 12 at 1:00 p.m. and concludes with championship games on Sunday December 14 starting at 11:00 a.m. Five teams from Fort Wayne will participate at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
The three-day tournament will bring in more than 1,500 people and generate an estimated $150,000 in economic impact. Admission to the tournament is free to the general public.
