An announcement Thursday will provide details of a multi-million dollar collaboration between Purdue University and General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE). The school says the new partnership involves advanced manufacturing. In March, the company announced plans to build a major jet engine manufacturing operation in nearby Lafayette.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue President Mitch Daniels and GE Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Mark Little will announce a new partnership between Purdue and GE on Thursday (Dec. 4).

The multi-million-dollar partnership involves advanced manufacturing.

The announcement will be at 4:30 p.m. in the East/West Faculty Lounge at Purdue Memorial Union.
