TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting celebration on Wednesday, December 3 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The building site is located on the west edge of campus, behind the Mary and Andy Rooney Library. It is a 45,000 sq. ft. building with a NCAA regulation-sized gym seating approximately 1,000 spectators. The facility also includes a practice gym for auxiliary revenue and intramural sports, 3,600 sq. ft. lobby – flexible space for functions and activities, locker rooms, a training room, a fitness room and ample storage space, as well as offices for a growing athletic program.
