Our partners at 21 Alive WPTA-TV report they involve improvements to a World Baseball Academy facility and a new doctoral program at Parkview Health. The World Baseball Academy project includes the addition of three youth-sized diamonds, lighting, bleachers and scoreboards. The organization must still raise more than $2.4 million to advance the effort.
Parkview is looking to partner with Huntington University, Trine University and Fort Wayne Community Schools on doctoral programs in occupational therapy.
Both proposals must still receive approval from the Fort Wayne City Council and Mayor Tom Henry.
