News Release

Peru, Ind. — The North Central Indiana Regional Planning Council (NCIRPC) is pleased to introduce Steven Ray as the organization’s first Executive Director. Steven joins the NCIRPC after spending the last eight years with the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

NCIRPC is made up of six north central counties – Cass, Clinton, Fulton, Howard, Miami and Tipton. Its mission is to build stronger local and regional economies to enhance the quality of life throughout the region. “Steven's experience in community development and established professional network made him a natural fit for the Director’s position,” said Board President Tyler Moore.

NCIRPC will provide communities with greater access to resources, professional services and programs to increase the capacity of local leaders to engage in community development activities. “North Central has always been home to me,” said Ray. “I look forward to working with the community leaders throughout the region as we build for the future.”

With a focus on project planning, grant administration and program delivery, NCIRPC will employ a local first strategic approach, facilitate partnerships and engage outside resources to achieve the goals of the member communities.

Steven received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Kokomo and his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2004. He resides in Miami County with his wife, Tonia, has 4 children and 1 grandchild.
