$59M Library Plan Scores Council Approval

Posted: Updated:

The City-County Council in Indianapolis has approved a nearly $59 million proposal from the Indianapolis Public Library. The plan involves improvements and relocations of several branches throughout Marion County. During a Studio(i) interview last month, Chief Executive Officer Jackie Nytes outlined the case for the plan. It is part of the system's five-year strategic plan.

Nytes said the library is focusing on increasing access to library resources, including technology.

It calls for one new branch, upgrades to multiple locations and relocating others.
