Greencastle, Ind. — Johnson Nichols Health Clinic, a community-based healthcare provider serving residents of Putnam and Owen Counties, has moved from its 141 Martinsville St. location in Greencastle to Putnam County Hospital. This move will allow residents in Greencastle and surrounding communities to have convenient access to the clinic’s array of health services in a centrally located, modern facility.
Johnson Nichols opened its Putnam County Hospital office and began seeing patients on Oct. 17, 2014.
“We are excited to have made the move to Putnam County Hospital,” said Stephanie LaFontaine, executive director of Johnson Nichols Health Clinic. “Our relocation into its state-of-the-art facilities enables us to not only continue the services that are integral to our mission of community-based healthcare, but also to come together with the hospital to share best practices that will assist us in enhancing these services.”
At Putnam County Hospital, Johnson Nichols will continue to provide a range of healthcare services to the Putnam County community, including family planning, physical examinations and immunizations for children, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses, and prenatal care and education. Additionally, the clinic’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), the only one of its kind in Putnam County, will continue providing food and nutrition education to low-income pregnant and postpartum women and their children.

Johnson Nichols Health Clinic, which is part of Centerstone, has offered healthcare services at two locations in Putnam and Owen Counties since 1983. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay for services. Locations accept health insurance, Medicare and Medicaid and have a sliding fee scale for low-income residents without health insurance.
