Martin University in Indianapolis has launched a partnership with a nonprofit organization designed to provide training and educational opportunities for veterans. The effort with Save Our Veterans Inc. helps participants earn a degree in Industrial Management.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Martin University announced today its partnership with Save Our Veterans, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides skills training, educational opportunities, and paths to employment and housing.

This collaboration will provide training programs in welding, and the opportunity for program participants to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management.

This partnership was developed out of a need to assist veterans and the Indianapolis community with employment readiness skill sets. It also will provide the opportunity for Martin students to advance their careers by obtaining a degree in Industrial Management.

“This is an example of an alliance that meets a community need. The University is fortunate to have a great relationship with the Save Our Veterans organization,” said Dr. Eugene G. White.

Martin University is currently enrolling students for the spring 2015 semester and the first cohort of students will enter the new welding program then.
