News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Hulman & Company Chief Executive Officer Mark Miles announced today that Cindy Lucchese has joined the company as chief administrative officer and chief financial officer.

Lucchese will be responsible for the company's administrative functions, which include financial services, information technology and human resources, and will lead the firm's strategic planning function. She will report directly to Miles and serve on the company's executive leadership team.

“Cindy's broad business background and deep financial experience, her leadership skills and character, and her commitment to our city and state make her an ideal addition to the team we are assembling. She's the right fit for us at the right time,” Miles said.

Over the past 10 years, Lucchese has served as the chief executive officer of two publicly traded companies. Most recently, she was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Hillenbrand, Inc. She was a key member of the leadership team that transformed the Batesville, Indiana, company from a $650 million North American business to a $1.6 billion global diversified industrial company.

“I am thrilled to be joining such an iconic Indiana company that has done so much for our city and state. From infrastructure and technology improvements at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to strategic growth opportunities for the Verizon IndyCar Series, Hulman & Company has great positive momentum. I'm eager to get started as a member of Mark's team,” Lucchese said.

During her career, Lucchese also has worked as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Thoratec Corporation in California and in various financial roles with Guidant Corporation in Indianapolis. Earlier in her career, she worked for Eli Lilly and Company and the public accounting firm EY. She earned her undergraduate and Master of Business Administration degrees from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Lucchese is the audit committee chair and member of the board of the publicly traded company Intersect ENT. She is also on the board of the Indiana Sports Corporation and the Dean's Council at the Indiana University School of Business.
