He says issues such as the Keystone XL Pipeline and the medical device tax are opportunities for President Obama to show he is serious about working with Republican lawmakers. Former Greencastle Mayor Mike Harmless says the losses are a chance for Democrats to take a good look at “how angry the electorate is, and why they're angry.” Shabazz, Harmless and Republican strategist Anne Hathaway took part in a post-election panel on this weekend's edition of Inside INdiana Business Television. Only one U.S. Congressional race, the 7th District between Representative Andre Carson and challenger Catherine Ping, was within 15 points. The winners are:

Statewide office winners were Secretary of State Connie Lawson (R), Suzanne Crouch (R) for State Treasurer and Kelly Mitchell (R) for State Auditor.
Last week, Indiana Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Political Affairs Jeff Brantley called the statewide elections a “mini-mandate” for legislators to continue focusing on job growth and the business community.
