A veterans resource event is set for this week in Richmond. It will feature educational resources, more than a dozen employers and health services. November 7, 2014

MUNCIE, Ind. – All veterans are invited to attend the 2014 Eastern Indiana Veterans Resource Fair from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Kuhlman Center, 861 Salisbury Road, Richmond, IN. Doors will close at 2:30pm to ensure that all veterans are served. There is no cost to attend this event. A reminder that Salisbury Road is closed from US 40 to the Fairgrounds/Kuhlman Center. Below are directions to the event:

-From US 40 West: Take S Round Barn Rd North to Crowe Rd. Turn Right on Crowe Rd. Follow to Fairgrounds/Kuhlman Center

-From US 40 East: Take NW 5th St/Williamsburg Pike North to NW L St. Turn Left and follow to Salisbury Rd. Turn Left on Salisbury to Kuhlman Center.

-From Interstate 70: Take exit 149A Williamsburg Pike South to NW L St. Turn Right and follow to Salisbury Rd. Turn Left on Salisbury to Kuhlman Center.

-The Dayton VA Hospital will also be offering FREE rides to the Kuhlman Center. Pick up points will be at the American Legion Post 65 located at 109 North 6th Street in Richmond and the VFW Post 1108 located at 213 South 8th Street in Richmond. Vans will begin picking up veterans at 9:30am and will run every half hour until 2:00pm.

This event will have more than 45 various service partners (including 18 employers) to provide and assist local veterans with their specific needs. Activities include: free health screenings, flu shots, employment options, educational information, governmental resources, mental health services, other community resources, and free lunch for the Veteran while supplies last.

This event is organized and sponsored by the following: Eastern Indiana WorkOne, VFW Post 1108-Richmond, Indiana National Guard, Dayton VA Hospital, ASPIRE, Harrington Hoch Insurance, Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Meijer, Augustin Printers, Square Donuts, Golden Corral, Kroger, and Alliance for Strategic Growth.
