The Town of Fishers Redevelopment Commission is seeking developers for a parcel of land in its Nickel Plate District. The commission says it will consider “any mix of uses” that furthers the redevelopment plan for downtown Fishers.

News Release

Fishers, Ind. — The Town of Fishers Redevelopment Commission (FRC) announced a call for applicants to submit a plan for acquisition and development of a parcel on Maple Street in the Nickel Plate District. The parcel is currently owned by the FRC and is part of the plan to continue the redevelopment of downtown Fishers.

“The RFP parcel while small, represents a big step in the next phase of redevelopment in the Nickel Plate District,” said Tom Dickey, Fishers' Director of Community Development. “An important part of our strategy has been to set the stage for smaller-scale redevelopment opportunities like this. We look forward to seeing the Maple Street area transform over time with better access to existing businesses and new development occurring there.”

The FRC currently owns the .25 acre parcel at 11634 Maple Street with an existing structure that must be demolished. The FRC will consider any mix of uses that furthers the goals and policies of the redevelopment and economic development initiatives, including mixed-use development containing commercial and residential uses. Proposal responses should be submitted no later than noon (EST) on Friday, November 14, 2014.

Town officials are requesting a construction schedule along with the proposal that includes a completion date by the end of 2015. For more information or for a copy of the RFP, please visit www.fishers.in.us
