The BP Whiting Refinery is looking to hire 50 full-time operators. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the positions will replace retiring workers. The company hopes to fill current openings by the end of next month. The jobs start at more than $26 per hour.

A BP Whiting spokesman tells the publication over a dozen operators retire from the plant each year.

The refinery currently employs around 1,900 workers.
