Airports Prep For Auctions

Two Indiana airports have announced details of their annual auctions. Nappanee-based Hahn Auctioneers Inc. will run the sale Friday at South Bend International and next week's auction at Indianapolis International Airport will be handled by Key Auctions LLC. October 22, 2014

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend International Airport (SBN) will hold a public auction on Friday, October 24, 2014 starting at Noon at its maintenance facility at 4721 Lathrop Street.

The auction includes a 2001 New Holland model TS100 front wheel assist diesel cab tractor; 1996 Ford Versatile 9030 articulated bi-directional tractor; 2004 Ford F350 dual wheels dump truck; 1996 Hummer 6.5 liter four wheel drive vehicle; 2006 Toyota Highlander hybrid limited, fully loaded; 2005 Ford Expedition four wheel drive, fully loaded; 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4; 2003 John Deere 485 gas hydrostatic lawn tractor with cab and large deck; 25 television monitors; eight skids of various engine parts; 10 bikes and more.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (October 20, 2014) - From aviation enthusiasts to film buffs and comic-book collectors, nearly everyone will find something of interest at an upcoming auction at the Indianapolis Airport that features an astonishing assortment of items.

A huge array of tools, machinery, and other equipment, much of it aviation-related, will be auctioned off on behalf of the Indianapolis Airport Authority.

Indianapolis-based Key Auctioneers will be conducting the auction, which also includes a vast range of electronics - including 24 Kindles and 21 iPads - jewelry, comic books, a Louis Vuitton purse, and other items from the airport's lost and found.

The tools, heavy machinery, and other equipment to be auctioned includes computers, work benches, boom lifts, a boring machine, a milling center, pneumatic jacks, fork lifts, and pickup trucks.

The auction will take place Thursday, October 30 beginning at 10 a.m. near the Indianapolis Airport at 2601 S Hoffman Road, Indianapolis. Online bidding will also be available. An inspection of the items will take place on Wednesday, October 29 beginning at 10 a.m.

Airport lost-and-found auctions occur approximately every other year. This year's selection is unusually wide-ranging, particularly in its selection of tools and equipment that are no longer used by the Indianapolis Airport Authority but still in good condition.
