WESTFIELD, Ind. - Westfield's business sector is growing again, this time as the headquarters for a leader in the construction industry.

Thieneman Construction announced plans to begin construction on phase one of its corporate headquarters, in what will be a combination of 18,000 square feet of office space and 12,500 square feet of warehouse. The plan also includes capacity to build an additional 30,000 square feet based upon the company's growth needs.

"We're happy to have Thieneman Construction call Westfield home," said Mayor Andy Cook. "Westfield's business sector continues to grow stronger every day. This is just one more step in the right direction to being more competitive in Indiana's economic development."

Thieneman Construction was founded in 1999 in Lake County, Indiana by Kenneth Thieneman. The company specializes in the construction of water and waste water treatment plants in Central and Northern Indiana, as well as the Chicago market. The company expects to generate approximately $35 million in revenue this year.

The Westfield location will also provide an office for Thieneman Homes, a residential builder led by Shannon Thieneman. Thieneman Construction currently has 16 full time employees at its Westfield office, and expects to add 28 employees there over the next 10 years. The expected annual average salary for those additional full time employees would be $70,000.

"We are excited to share our company's plans with the City of Westfield, and to further enhance our local presence by adding jobs and improved real estate to the US Hwy 31 and SR 32 corridor. We look forward to the opportunity to helping improve the city where we have chosen to raise our children," said the Company's founder and President, Ken Thieneman.
