INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann joined executives from Activate Healthcare, LLC, a national employer medical service provider, today to announce the company's plans to expand its operations here, creating up 203 new jobs by 2023.
The homegrown-Hoosier company, a provider of primary healthcare clinics within or near workplaces, will invest $656,080 to lease, renovate and equip a 3,400 square-foot office at 9302 North Meridian Street in Indianapolis, more than tripling its headquarters space. With plans to expand again at the same location next year, Activate Healthcare's headquarters growth will allow it to improve support to its on-site healthcare clinics throughout the Midwest, including 18 clinics in Indiana serving well over 40,000 patients.
“Indiana has emerged as a magnet for the home bases of life science and healthcare-related companies,” said Lt. Gov. Ellspermann. “These developing industries are making Indiana a home of innovation, with companies like Activate Healthcare choosing to locate their headquarters here. By setting taxes low and nurturing a Hoosier workforce skilled in science, Indiana is proud to be a state that works for healthcare leadership.”
Activate Healthcare, which currently employs approximately 110 full-time Indiana associates, has already begun hiring healthcare, administrative, business support, marketing, technology and finance professionals. Interested applicants may apply by submitting a resume to HR@activatehealthcare.com.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Activate Healthcare, LLC up to $3,900,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis supports the project at the request of Develop Indy, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.
