The Indiana Sports Corp has announced a new online program designed to increase youth-serving organizations' access to resources. The Exchange helps companies and individuals offering sports equipment, facilities and volunteer hours connect with groups in need. October 7, 2014

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – As part of Indiana Sports Corp's strategic plan, the not-for-profit organization and the country's leading sports commission has worked with several partners to create the Indiana Sports Corp Exchange. This is an online tool that connects youth-serving organizations with Indiana companies and individuals who have sports equipment, volunteer hours, facilities, and other resources to donate.

“We are extremely proud of the impact Indiana Sports Corp has on Indiana youth through our existing programs,” said Allison Melangton, Indiana Sports Corp President. “We continue to hear from youth-serving organizations that their needs will only increase. We also hear every day from individuals and companies who want to help. For years, Indiana Sports Corp has personally facilitated these connection points. We have realized that creating a tool such as the Exchange will allow these connections to take place in a more efficient manner. Our goal is for resources to find youth-serving organizations in every corner of our great state and the Exchange will greatly enhance the reach and the impact of this very important part of the Indiana Sports Corp mission.”

Visit exchange.indianasportscorp.org to watch the video, learn more about the Exchange and register yourself or your organization. People and organizations can list sports equipment, facilities, opportunities, volunteers, or browse existing needs. Any approved youth-serving, not-for-profit organization can post areas of need or seek out available resources from supporter profiles.

In 2014, Indiana Sports Corp has impacted nearly 100,000 Indiana youth through its Geared For Health: Sports Equipment for Kids and Susan Williams CHAMPS Grant Programs, as well as programs and clinics around events such as the Big Ten Football Championship Game, NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, NCAA Rowing Championships, and others.

Indiana Sports Corp's mission is to create positive impact by hosting world-class sporting events that enhance vibrancy in the community, build civic pride, drive economic impact and media exposure, and encourage opportunities for youth. A not-for-profit organization, Indiana Sports Corp was founded in 1979 as the nation's first sports commission. Our recent and upcoming schedule of events includes NCAA Men's and Women's Final Fours, Super Bowl XLVI in 2012, Big Ten Football Championship Games through 2021, Big Ten Basketball Tournaments, 2015 P&G Gymnastics Championships, 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Diving, and much more.
