President Confirms Plans For Indiana Visit

Subscribe NowThe Office of President Barack Obama has announced the timeline for a scheduled visit this week to Indiana and Illinois. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the president is set to fly today to Gary/Chicago International Airport, in advance of fundraising and speaking engagements in Chicago and at Northwestern University. He is then slated to arrive Friday at Evansville Regional Airport for a visit to Millennium Steel Service LLC in Princeton. His office says he will give a presentation about the economy at the plant, which is located across from the Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Indiana Inc. facilities.
Millennium is a is a Tier 1 Raw Material supplier to Toyota and other companies related to the major automotive manufacturer.
The trip will focus on the economy and coincides with Manufacturing Day.
Upon arrival in Gary, The Times reports the president will be greeted by Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson.
