Towers at ISU Slated to Finally Come DownPosted: Updated:
The long-awaited demolition of two of Indiana State University's tallest buildings is set for next year. The Tribune-Star in Terre Haute reports renovation plans for the 15-story Statesman Towers "didn't work out." The building was last used by the Scott College of Business, which moved into Federal Hall in the city's downtown two years ago.
Built in the late-1960s, it was originally intended to be student housing. Prior to relocating to University Hall, the Bayh College of Education was also located in the building within the last five years.
Demolition is expected to cost $4 million.
