A record 150 central Indiana businesses and an estimated 8,000 participants are registered to compete in the 2014 Indiana Sports Corp Corporate Challenge, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Many of the events move to the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 2014 event.
The ISC Corporate Challenge is a fun-filled community event that emphasizes healthy lifestyles, friendly competition and company camaraderie. There's a little something for each member of the company: distance runs, sprints, a fitness walk and field activities (called "Good Sport Events") such as basketball shootout, football accuracy throw, golf chipping challenge and soccer shootout.
Each participating company is placed in one of four divisions based on their company size (total number of employees in Indiana). Each company also competes in one of 10 Industry Challenges.
The Corporate Challenge also includes a charity competition where companies receive points based on how much they donate to local charities: Indiana Sports Corp's Susan Williams CHAMPS Grants Program, the Indiana Sports Corp Geared for Health: Sports Equipment for Kids program, and the Indiana Blood Center. Companies will also receive points for signing up for a service project as part of the Super Service Challenge and TrueU.
